What We Do
Tekdata’s Cryoconnect division specialises in the design and manufacture of cryogenic harnesses for ground based and space applications. Nearly every cryogenic system requires the injection and retrieval of information from the ‘cold’. This information, in the form of electrical signals, is carried on wire, coaxial and miniature cable which may need to pierce the vacuum wall and require heat sinking.
We have a wide range of application experience and work closely with experimenters and system designers to translate their ideas into the best available technological solutions. Our team at Cryoconnect are available to answer questions, offer advice and provide support wherever possible to accelerate the time to achieving results.
Working within our AS9100 (Rev C) and ISO 14001 certification, our Cryoconnect department is a dedicated facility where all of our team are ESA certified:
- Our technicians are trained and certified to ECSS-Q-ST-70-08 standard for space standardisation for high reliability electrical connections.
- Our inspectors are trained and certified to ECSS-Q-ST-70-26 for test and inspection.
- In addition we have a trained and certified External Examiner to ESA-STR-258.
All assemblies are 100% inspected and tested as required, including Kelvin (4 wire) resistive measurement. In addition we can offer thermal modelling, bakeout and vibration testing to space qualification levels.
Cryoconnect is a Corporate Sustaining Member of the Cryogenic Society (CSA).
